WooCommerce to Shopify: A Premium Store for a Leading Car Protection Brand website on desktop

GardX is a leading name in car protection products, with a strong presence in dealerships and the aftermarket sector. Their previous online store was built on a clunky WordPress and WooCommerce setup that didn't match the premium quality of their products or the expectations of today's customers.

The brief was to deliver a complete ecommerce overhaul: a fast, modern Shopify store that reflected the brand and converted.

Key results

  • Faster

    Load times and user experience

  • Improved

    SEO performance and traffic uplift

  • Higher

    Conversion rates and fewer drop-offs

The brief

The WooCommerce site was outdated and fragmented. The goals were to replace it with a fast, modern Shopify store, improve product presentation and navigation, provide a smooth customer journey from discovery to purchase, and strengthen the brand's online credibility and trust.

  • Replace outdated WooCommerce site with a fast, modern Shopify store
  • Improve product presentation and navigation
  • Provide a smooth customer journey from discovery to purchase
  • Strengthen the brand's online credibility and trust

The challenge

The existing site was built on WordPress and WooCommerce. It was fragmented, slow and difficult to manage. The presentation didn't match the premium quality of GardX products (car protection, paint sealants, interior treatments and more). Customers expect a smooth, trustworthy experience when buying protection products; the old site fell short.

The technical setup had accumulated complexity. Product structure, navigation and checkout needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. The site also needed to integrate with marketing tools and support future campaigns.

The challenge was to deliver a complete ecommerce overhaul without losing what worked, and to build something that could scale as the business grew.

The approach

The entire site was rebuilt on Shopify. The result is a clean, conversion-focused store with clarity, speed and polish.

Build: Custom Shopify theme designed to showcase the product range. Clean, conversion-focused UI that aligns with GardX's premium feel. Mobile-first for better performance across all devices.

Structure: Site structure and navigation optimised for easier browsing. Products organised so customers can find what they need quickly. Custom Shopify code implemented where needed to accommodate legacy requirements.

Marketing: Integrated with marketing tools to support future campaigns. The site is built to scale. New products, promotions and content can be added without technical friction.

Performance: Mobile-first build for faster load times and better user experience. The goal was a site that performs across all devices and converts.

The outcome

The new store delivers faster load times and a better user experience. The fragmented WordPress and WooCommerce setup has been replaced with a single, cohesive Shopify store.

SEO performance has improved and traffic has increased. The site is structured for search and built for growth.

Brand presence is clearer. The site now reflects GardX's premium positioning. Conversion rates have improved and customer drop-offs have reduced. The store is built with future scale in mind, allowing for easy growth as the product range expands.

Why it worked

The rebuild treated the store as an extension of the brand. GardX sells premium protection products. The site needed to feel premium too. Clean design, fast loading and a smooth checkout gave customers confidence.

The Shopify platform gave a stable foundation. Custom code and integrations accommodated legacy needs without compromising the core experience. The result is a store that performs now and scales later.
